Rauland is Telemark’s largest winter destination with 16 lifts, 46 alpine slopes and activities and arrangements for the whole family. There are 3 ski areas in Rauland, Vierli, Tiur and Holtardalen – with runs in all levels of difficulty, a total of over 20 kilometers. Our longest run is 3 km long. We have steep trails for the toughest, off-piste and powder – and of course family-friendly slopes, parks and areas.

Cross-Country with magnificent view

Rauland offers 150 km of cross-country trails, many of them daily groomed through the winter season, and you should look for Vierli as a great starting point.

Northern Europe’s first cable car was built in 1928 as a gift from Norsk Hydro to the inhabitants of Rjukan, so that they could get up in the sun during the winter.
